Free instant scan. No signup required. Public pages only.

What the scan checks

Six categories of technical health

SEO

Title tag, meta description, H1, canonical URL, Open Graph tags, JSON-LD structured data, viewport meta tag, and noindex detection.

Security headers

Strict-Transport-Security, X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options, and Content-Security-Policy — the headers that help browsers enforce safer behavior.

Redirects

HTTP-to-HTTPS enforcement, www canonicalization, permanent vs. temporary status codes, and redirect-chain detection.

Policy pages

Checks whether common public pages — privacy policy, terms, accessibility statement — appear to exist at standard paths. This checks apparent presence only, not legal sufficiency.

Sitemap & robots

Validates sitemap.xml is reachable with proper XML markup and a URL count, and that robots.txt is reachable and allows crawling.

Availability

Response status code, response time, and basic reachability. Flags slow responses and error status codes.

How it works

We scan from the outside, the way visitors and Google do

Enter your URL

Type your website address into the scan form. No account, no permissions, no installation. We scan publicly accessible pages only.

We run external checks

The scanner reviews SEO tags, security headers, redirects, sitemap and robots access, standard policy-page paths, and basic reachability — the same way a browser or Google's crawler sees the site.

What this leads into

A snapshot today, a monitored loop after

The free scan tells you where the site stands right now. Site Clinic is the recurring layer: it re-checks the site, catches drift, prioritizes the next fix, verifies changes after they ship, and keeps evidence of what improved. Connected sources — Search Console, GA4, AI-search signals — become inputs once you grant access, shown as pending or unconfigured until then.

Looking for accessibility?

This health scan checks technical signals only. Accessibility barriers — missing labels, contrast, keyboard traps — are a separate layer, checked by the free ADA scan.

FAQ
What does the health scan check?

External technical signals that affect how browsers, search engines, and visitors experience your site: SEO tags, security headers, redirects, sitemap and robots access, apparent policy-page presence, and basic availability.

Is this a complete audit of my site?

No. It is a free snapshot of public-page technical signals at one moment. It does not crawl every page, does not test accessibility barriers, and does not read connected data like Search Console or analytics. It is the front door to recurring Site Clinic monitoring, which keeps checking the site over time.

Is this different from the ADA accessibility scan?

Yes. This health scan checks technical website signals. Accessibility barriers — missing form labels, contrast failures, broken keyboard flow — are a different layer, checked by the free ADA scan on adaauditreport.com.

Do you need access to my hosting or analytics?

No. Every check runs against your publicly accessible website using standard HTTP requests. No logins, no permissions, no access to hosting, analytics, or admin panels.

What happens after the scan?

You can act on the prioritized issues yourself, or move into Site Clinic recurring monitoring, which re-checks the site, catches drift, verifies fixes, and keeps proof of what improved over time. Connected sources like Search Console and GA4 are shown as pending or unconfigured until you grant access.

Is the scan free?

Yes. The website health scan is free, with no signup. Recurring monitoring starts at $49/mo with a 30-day free trial.
